As my CLL Progresses my four trips a year to the periodontist our just keeping up and kind of losing ground

In Trying various mouthwashes nothing really help that much but I haven’t using this stuff since January in addition to everything else it has really helped turned the corner for my gums

I have to use it 4 times a day but The cost is low and it’s just so much more pleasant to eat without pain

I have been treated and followed for periodontal disease for close to 40 yrs. My periodontist has a Ph.D. in biochemistry. He has been a pioneer in developing treatments for this disease. A few yrs ago he had his pts rinse and/or water pik with a diluted chlorine bleach solution. This sounds nuts, I know, and I told him so when he first suggested it to me. He asked, what do I think is used in swimming pools to kill bacteria. Chlorine .

My experience matches that of his other pts. It kills bacteria, esp the dangerous spirochetes that get into the blood stream, the cause of periodontal disease and gum inflammation. My condition has now been stable for several yrs.

Solution: Mix 1/2 tsp of chlorine bleach per 35 oz water. Swish around mouth. I usually do for 15-20 seconds at bedtime after brushing teeth. Rinse out with cold water. Use only concentrated bleach with no scents or coloring. One can do more than once per day but once is all I need.

Additionally, I use this solution on a proxi brush to enter a deep pocket in the gum that periodically had become inflamed and infected. Those with periodontal disease are prob familiar with this type of brush. It is a small tapered , tufted end brush that allows one to get up into the gums between and behind the teeth. This has controlled a flare up in that area.

Hope this info will be beneficial.
