How are you all feeling about the easing of lockdown? Is anyone else feeling really anxious about it? Vaccinations have clearly been a game changer but asymptomatic transmission is a great concern of mine. Are we ever going to get back to our normal?

Easing of lockdown anxiety
I think feeling anxiety is normal, Floxxy. I certainly feel it, although it was worst before we we scheduled for the vaccine.
Hi floxxy,
Here in Melbourne we had various degrees of lockdown for around 7 months in 2020, including a few months of only being allowed to leave home for 1 hour of exercise per day or essential purposes like buying food or seeking medical care. When it all ended (Nov 2020) everyone I know had some level of anxiety/discomfort about leaving home, and it took weeks or months to gradually get used to being out and about and close to other people.
We still have to wear masks in certain settings, and maintain social distancing, so it's not 'normal', but it's 'covid-normal'! Having CLL I'm still very conscious of the risk, even though we have no community transmission at the moment. I have eaten at outdoor cafes but would not eat at an indoor restaurant or go to the cinema etc. Maybe I will feel differently after I've been vaccinated and if local cases remain at zero or very low.
