I just returned from getting jab. It was AZ for me. Happy, treating myself to an early Jasmine tea as a thank you.
best to all, rob

🎉🎉🎉🎉
Me too! Having a cup of decaf tea 🙂
Just had mine to and again AZ Oxford next jab 28th April 🎉
Oh, interesting that they gave you a second date. In our place it’s a we’ll contact you.
My husband and I have got our dates - it’s quite reassuring. I’m surprised not all places are doing it, hope you get your date soon.Cx
Happy for you,
👍 I had Pfizer on 21 Jan, all good no side effects ....my chip is working fine😂
Great. I had the AD one too. X
Glad you've had the jab now, Rob. I hope you enjoyed the Jasmine tea!
I too had the AZ jab yesterday morning. Felt a bit "off" in the evening but no other problems. Have to admit to being a bit disappointed - was waiting for the headaches and fevers to hit me. I guess it could still happen as today passes...
Paula
P.S. I don't think that lack of side effects after the jab mean it's not getting good responses, but side effects would reassure me that I wasn't just injected with saline. 🙂
It was strange, I was waiting for a ‘slight sting’ as I was chatting to the person administering the jab. She said “ready” which I interpreted as “ready?”. My answer “yes”, which must have come across as odd. Her retort “you’re done”. Never felt a thing. Walking home I was thinking how do I know it went in?
By 21:00 (12 hrs later) very hot and shuddering and I had to turn in. Feeling fine this morning, apart from a sore patch of about 1” radius around where I now know it went in.
As Paula alluded to, everyone is different. I feel that for me personally yesterday was a big step forwards.
all the best to all, happy rob 😃
Had my AZ shot yesterday and so far no side effects which is unusual for me. I didn't feel the injection at all and so now the daft thoughts have started. Can I be really sure she put the needle in?!!!!!😂
Hi, I had the AZ jab yesterday also, did they advise you to continue shielding until the 2nd dose?.Cheers
No, no discussion on shielding, but they asked my ethnicity and nationality having told me theirs as an example, which puzzled me.
Surely that’s on my NHS records. I repeated what they said because it was the same. They made it clear I did not have to respond which confused me even more. Surely my NHS number is unique?
I’d have thought DOB or first line of address would have been a more useful cross-check?
Hi, Yes i had to provide my NHS number, DOB, Postcode, Ethnicity and Nationality. Then read through some questions and the shielding 1 applied to me and they asked if my doctor had confirmed i can have a vaccine.
Great news Rob!Paul gets his on Tuesday 😊
Considering he had prostate biopsies yesterday, which made him drip with sweat because of the pain (and they’d given him lots of local anaesthetic), I think the vaccine should be a doddle!
Stay safe,
Fran 😉
Reading your replies in Canada! We are soooo far behind in vaccines, so many shortages. I’m taking in all your comments, hoping our system (if ever it proceeds) will be as efficient.
(My husband has CLL, W&W).
I had my AZ jab yesterday. So far so good. Next predicted for May , 05 th. I live jasmine tea either. Best Regards
Hi Rob,
I had the Pfizer jab a couple of weeks ago. Just slightly sore arm and shivery in the afternoon the day after. I was back to doing stuff the day after that. Eczema broke out yesterday but prob not connected.
No documentation given (I hadn't asked).
Given choice think in my case I would have picked the AZ jab, but happy to have either.
No idea of second date, but not concerned about that.
Best wishes to all,
Ernest
