Vaccine does work

After reading countless posts on how the covid vaccine does not work very well on patients with cll I put a direct call into my clinic. Well it seems we DO achieve immunity...lots of us! I will be having part 2 of the Moderna and excited. My numbers and globs are normal bc of BR chemo over a year ago. It's going to be very effective . So get your vaccine. And be positive we have another chance today. I will also be getting the immunity test a month after the 2nd dose to make sure. Yay!

I get my second Moderna in 2 weeks and will be tested 3 months later for response. Good luck and 🍻 to some immunity!

Good for you. And you will achieve protection and immunity. Yay.

What is the immunity test you are speaking of? My oncologist seems reluctant about being able to test to see if the COVID vaccine is effective and I have developed the necessary antibodies.

Not an immunity test more of an antibody test.

2nd Pfizer dose scheduled for tomorrow and antibody test for two weeks after. I’m confident that I will develop antibodies. Maybe not as many as a completely heathy person but anything is something. Even with poor response they predict a mild covid if you do get it, which is a guarantee I would be happy to receive!

Good going. Better than nothing or not at least trying.
