Is there a delay in Shielding letters being sent out in Tier 4

Hi

I was wondering if you are on CLL and watch and wait are you still classed as high risk as although I had a text on 30/12 from GOV Uk no letter yet and my employer needs proof . Also does anyone know if there is a delay in sending such letters out? My GP has my email details but again I have received nothing.

I was classed as high risk at the start of it all and on watch and wait. Had a text this last time but no letter yet but some post is still waiting to be opened.

Boris is doing a tv announcement tonight so I`m expecting another national lock down for us in England as has happened in Scotland.

Stay safe everyone!

Hi I received email and I just forwarded it on to my employer. They were happy with that as the letter is exactly the same. So perhaps ask if you can do that?

Also on Watch & Wait; also classified as vulnerable. I've had my text message and e-mail from Mr Hancock. On past form, it generally takes a few days for the separate letter to arrive.

If you've had the e-mail, and have saved it, it does contain the specific phrasing about how it acts as a formal letter to employers. I would like to think that most employers/HR departments would accept the forwarded e-mail under current circumstances; though perhaps that's naive of me.

Received a text on the 22nd, an email from the Government on the 21st, both of which should be acceptable to an employer .Then received letter from the Government and also from my local council on the 28th December so- a full flush! But in last few days have received about 20 letters and cards dating back to mid November which have been sitting at Royal Mail. Suspect they have tremendous backlog problems.

I think the text is sufficient evidence for your employer

Both my husband and I got the letter you need some days ago. Also got the text on 22 Dec saying we should shield and letter follows and giving the link to detailed guidance. I've just checked the link and it now been changed to detail full lockdown guidance not tier 4 guidance.

If last nights announcement has not wiped out your need for this letter, might work if you showed your employer your text and also the info at link in the text. If you have a printer your employer might find that easier to deal with for filing etc.

Good luck in an easy sort in this matter.
