Hi everybody! I had an infusion today, and my doctor said my lymph nodes are getting smaller, but it is taking too long. He wants to give me an infusion of rituxan tomorrow and Iam concerned about side effects. Has anyone else had rituxan, and what did you experience?

I had no side effects with Rituxan. Be sure to go hydrated and keep hydrating, and to tell your nurse if you feel anything different - itchy ear - ANYTHING! Nurses will jump right on it to prevent a reaction,

I had FCR. My Rituxin was split between 2 days to be more gentle. Ask how long they will administer it- should be no less than 4 hours. 5-6 is average. They gave me IV Benadryl to help. My port was great. My nodes almost disappeared the first day! Nurses are great. 🙏💕

it is great it works for you. I did 4 weeks course without any significant treatment effect.

I received my first iv of rituxamab/rituxin over about 5 or 6 hours. They really do want you to report every little feeling. It was fine although I found that for all 6 infusions I had an excruciatingly sore back for about 18 hrs. No other side effects come to mind but I did write about my experiences if you want to click on my name and read.

I’m sure it’ll go smoothly. Good luck.
