My approach to my CLL management is to optimize food-as-medicine, medicine as food {Hippocrates ~400 BC), with my innately powerful healing systems to challenge CLL with good food, targeted food supplements, good sleep-detox routine, sustained exercise regimen, and alternative medicine treatments to include Calquence coordinated with stress management and immune system support supplements. BTW, I also am occasionally challenged to remember why I opened the fridge, so I include brain health supplements in my diet. My next consult with my oncologist in 3 weeks will address my progress taking Calquence for 5 months and consideration of beginning Gazyva monthly infusions.
I would appreciate comment on my approach, and council regarding combined Calquence-Gazyva chemo. Thank you for your consideration, and God bless.

You'll need an additional drug such as Gazyva or Venetoclax to get to a complete response or better in months rather than years. Be very careful concerning the supplements you take, because they can adversely interact with BTK inhibitors like Acalabrutinib or Ibrutinib per this post and the included references. Depending on how they interact, supplements can worsen side effects or negate the effectiveness of Calquence:
I love your positivity and proactivity. As part of your Gazyva discussion with your oncologist, ask about the potential impact that a monoclonal antibody such as Gazyva could have on your ability to make antibodies in response to a COVID-19 vaccine when one becomes available.
I so agree with your approach (& Hippocrates'). I feel the answer is out there in the food we eat & all the things you mentioned. I am hoping to help my body to fight this battle for me & am trying to give it all the help I can.
I look to the ancient art of Chinese medicine to see if they have the answer. The Chinese believe Cordyceps Sinesis (A type of mushroom from the mountains) delays the progress of blood cancer & they have done scientific tests to prove this. Have been taking these tablets daily for nearly 9 years now (for me no side effects), along with lots of green tea every day, lots of fruit & veg (at least 8 a day), oily fish etc. I read about all the things to eat to improve the blood, the red cells & platelets.
So far, am still on Watch & Wait, &, thank goodness, have never had to have any chemical treatments.
Cordyceps Sinesis is concerning example of how sought after herbal cures can have far reaching consequences. It's rare, with a very limited range from where it can be harvested in the Himalayan Tibetan plateau. Harvesting to meet the increasing demand is causing environmental concerns, with the impact of climate change also reducing production.
When you finally get to looking at the evidence for effectiveness against CLL, I couldn't find any good quality research. Most of the research is with respect to the totally different myeloid stem cell line, not the lymphoid line, from which B and T cells are derived. The lymphoid line research examines the impact on T-cells, and there are conflicting reports of whether it boosts or reduces T cell reproduction! Green tea, fruit and veg are likely to be helping you more, with far less of an environmental impact.
Thank you. Am always grateful for further research. Nothing is straight forward & nearly everything has a downside. Will take into account what you say.
