Hi
Parknolia1,
-
I see you just joined us yesterday, and it is not clear whether you have been diagnosed with CLL Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia.
-
We are not permitted, legally, to provide medical advice, and can only share our experiences with CLL. Your question needs to be answered by a trained Hematologist or Hematologist-Oncologist, likely after a series of tests and examinations that will sort out the many possible causes of a high WBC.
-
We hope you do not have this incurable disease, and there is a much simpler explanation.

Do you have any other symptoms? Are you on any prescription drugs?
If you do have blood cancer, which is by the way, fairly rare, then depending on the type, you can go for many years without needing treatment, or commence on a treatment that can keep the blood cancer under control indefinitely. I was diagnosed with the blood cancer supported by this community over 11 years ago at stage 4. I started treatment 6 months ago.
I presume you have arranged an appointment with your doctor for a referral to ideally a haematolgist for an accurate diagnosis?
I'd advise against doing further research on-line until you have a diagnosis and then only going to reputable sites. You are likely to just be further frightened by reading incorrect, out of date information. You've found a good site here should you end up with a CLL diagnosis.

Hi Parknolia,
Why were you taking the blood test?
What are some of the other numbers ?
What symptoms do you have other then anxiety?
Like some others have said; CLL is a rare blood disease and the odds are on your side 🙏🏻
