Been finding myself getting more anxious during lockdown slightest tickle in the nose ,cough and my mind race's. Did suffer with this before I was DX as little things going wrong bad colds etc led to me starting anti depressants which helped but once I was DX and had a answer I used meditation and stopped my anti depressants but I'm now at a stage where I think I might need them to get through this next 12 months my question is I'm on ibrutinib is it safe to use anti depressants with ibrutinib

Ibrutinib and anti depressants
Google: Is Ibrutinib compatible with name of antidepressants? ....
drugs.com should give you information about the interaction of drugs.
I've just found out that there is existing software on my doctors computer, that should flag up any combination of drugs that are not suitable together.....
I don't know if this software is nationwide(UK) ...
I take lorazepam at bedtime for nightmares-it is actually one of it's uses. I take both imbruvica and venclexta.
i don't think it has caused me any issues
Hi I don’t think that should be a problem. However, like all new drugs antidepressant or any other, it is best to check them out with your specialist before starting them.
Good luck

Curcumin seems to help me a bit with stress and mood. It could help with CLL too.
Not officially for depression but might help ,
Be well,

Hoffy, Curcumin needs to be taken very advisedly with Ibrutinib as described here;
‘Some common medications to avoid without provider approval are, aspirin or Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory agents such as ibuprofen, naproxen, or diclofenac; and anti-platelet agents. In addition several herbal products can enhance the anti-coagulant properties of ibrutinib including Omega-3 Fatty Acids (Fish-Oil), Flaxseed Oil, Vitamin E, and Curcumin/Tumeric.’

Not all antidepressants work the same or have the same side effects, so a discussion with an experienced oncology pharmacist will be best to advise you.
SSRIs are known to affect platelet levels and clotting. Since Ibrutinib also may do this, this group of antidepressants may not be a good choice for you.
This is a very difficult and stressful time for many of us and I am wondering if you could practise your meditation and perhaps do some gentle yoga or Tai Chi or even breathing exercises to help you relax. And watch your diet as sugar, stimulents like coffee, and even excess alcohol may trigger anxiety / depression.
I wish you the best,
