Hello everyone. Does anyone have chilblains and if so how does it affect your CLL? I have stopped taking the dog for a walk and not wearing closed shoes or trainers this last week because my toes are feeling numb and are bruising in places. I do have Renauds, but normally it's only when the weather is cold that I am affected, and not had chilblains since I was a nipper. I think they are chilblains!!

Chilblains and CLL
I get chilblains in the winter when I walk the dog. It is no different than before I was diagnosed with CLL. I bought some hand warmers to put in my socks to help and it seems to have cut down my cases. Also wearing cotton socks helps. Nothing more irritating than itchy chilblains! Good luck.
thank you Lulu, that's good to know. Maybe I should start wearing socks or slippers around the house again! I find I don't realise my feet are cold until I get into my nice warm electric blanket heated bed on a night!! Mine are't itchy, just quite tender when touched and the colours range from purple bruised to bright red, sometimes shiny and swollen.
Yes, only since cll diagnosis. My toes get extra cold in the winter. Now that I recognize this, when it’s cold, I always wear warm socks and slippers in the house, along with warm soft wool socks and warm boots when I’m outside. Takes care of that 👍.
Although, always let your health care person know, to be on the safe side.
Take good care of yourself.
I suggest you read the NY Times article about Covid-19 toes. It might be relevant for you. Not sure, but suspicious at this time.
