CLL and vaccinations
professionals tell me to take then and I have with no problems, your choice but I advise you to do so.

I believe the general recommendations can be summed up as:
1: you should NOT have live vaccinations
2: having flu and pneumonia vaccinations are a good idea but not as effective as for people who are not immunocompromised.
3: check with your GP or consultant to confirm any in doubt.

I also intend to ask my GP about having the Haemophilus Influenza B and Meningococcal vaccines.
I was very strongly advised to have it.
I suggest you read this article on the Old Man's Friend..
Vaccinations offer some protection from bacterial pneumonia, but we still have viral and fungal to deal with...

I'm in the same boat you're in. I've been told by everyone who has a mouth to have them done, I'd be crazy not too.
Here's the problem, when I've taken the vaccinations before, they have ALWAYS made me sick for days. There are not enough good movies or TV shows right now, so my gut instinct is telling me no way. Good luck with your decision.
Hello MamaJama,
I read several posts here and it seems that as long as it is a dead virus inoculation that that is the best solution ,where with a live virus it can present much more complications Best advice ask your oncologist point blank his opinion and advice. Also as many here well advise don't stress.1 It won't help and only serves to upset you.It also stops or decreases the living of your life to its fullest of your enjoyment.2) Stress can actually in some cases increase the dis-ease's progression. The same is true for W & W and for ones actively in therapy.I know because I have been dead to life and now am tired of that attitude and approach.I may still suffer with the illness and med side effects but you know ;who gives a damn....I am happier and enjoy what I have and am finding new and innovative ways to deal and live each day...You can too...we all can .there are some very brave and corregious people here ( not me) but many others. They are here for you ,and will always listen.Give them the gift of allowing them to do so.And yes I know my spelling is "unique",lol.
