I've had 2 & I've registered & stayed on the list in case anything changes, but I have managed to opt out of quite a few of what I consider extras in my case because my children are doing shopping etc. for wide & me.
They do say though if conditions change you can go back in & get the help you need, hopefully I won't need to, but with the way this virus works you never know.
Paul had a text yesterday, promising a letter. What will happen now about supermarket delivery?Anything? I tried calling our supermarket but went round in circles again.
Received an email from Sainsburys...... Saying that as I'm high risk, I should sign up for priority delivery...... Unfortunately, it doesn't 'recognise' my email address.....! The email address that they used to send me the email.... Am I going mad????
Just received a gov' text..... saying it's ok to have a window open, but don't go outside (garden?)..... Am I going mad????
Sainsbury’s sent me an e-mail saying I was on the database but the nhs didn’t agree - then two days later they did agree - had a delivery from Iceland due to my husband being over state retirement age (77), ( thank you to the lady on here who suggested that) and have (hurrah) booked a Sainsbury’s delivery for next Monday. No letter yet.... keep careful and well everyone.
I had my letter very early on, registered and I ticked the box saying I had some help as I felt guilty about receiving the government supplies box when all I wanted was to be able to place an order for on line delivery. I have found it impossible to get a delivery slot, Sainsbury's automated message simply says they are working with the Government's list and Tesco told me it was a first come first served when delivery slots pop up.
I live alone and find the whole shopping thing really frustrating. Thankfully my daughter has kept me supplied with perishables like milk and bread but she works in the NHS, has young children and is incredibly busy so I really do not like having her shop and drive to deliver items when the home delivery service I used before the shielding started has now disappeared when I need it most.
Sorry about the moan; must be cabin fever getting to me.
