Finished my shift on Friday (NHS) , I was going round different Gp surgeries collecting post, blood samples and micro sample of different patients it was stressful, receptionships had masks and gloves on, some where locking doors and bringing samples out others were open and busy due to pharmacy being located in the surgeries, I was careful had gloves and portable Purcell advaced hand gel each time I wait in.... Was also portering at the country hospital with only 3 wards in total esoecially for older patients recovering from falls.. Median age must be 75 to 80 lets hope they stay safe, not worked properly over the last few years in the clinical setting in nursing. My wife is also in nursing iv nurse and will going out on Monday to patients at home who need antibiotics iv which include copd patients and other vulnerable patients, a small part of me wishing that she was not doing this job and could work from home, infact its a large part of me to be honest, she will be coming home each day. There is no where else i can stay really to self isolate also in this mix is teenage kids....... November 2019 now seems so far away when all was normal in our un-normal lives
