CLL
My white cell number is 115.
I am starting Imbruvica and am wondering if I should push myself to exercise when am feeling fatigued or rest until I start feeling better?

Hi Suncity
I was a very athletic person before I got diagnosed with CLL my white blood cells were 230,000 I just don’t have the energy ... I want to do it.. I would not push yourself if you’re feeling fatigue I do feel the same way I’m on imbruvica too..
Your body will tell you when ur ready!!
Take care

Time and time again, exercise has been shown to have very positive effects on living with cancer, including during treatment.

I would recommend that you be guided by your body in how you feel after you exercise, including the following day. You don't want to overdo it, but you also want to avoid losing muscle tone.

Just start with a couple of exercises or better yet turn on the radio and dance to a song. Work on building up to 3x a day. Anna
I too am on Imbruvica. Go on you tube and search for "Laughter Yoga". You laugh and get those endorphins going!
Dance sing smile and laughter. Thank you all.
Hello suncity18
I walk 3+ miles everyday no matter how I feel, because I find it helps me. I would how ever just consider this moderate exercise. Chris from cllcanada did the same thing even with lung cancer and it allowed him to get off oxygen for some period of time. I would suggest not beating your self up, but getting some moderate exercise. Blessings.
Depends on what you mean by push.
The farmer who always watches the sky never plants the seed.
Maybe if the sky is dark, plow a smaller field.

Taking short walks a couple times a day is how I was able to get some exercise when I first started. Fresh air and sunshine is wonderful medicine!
ALways go with what your body is telling you but you must get some movement going.
