Some extremely important news from that very informative interview, particularly for those of us newly diagnosed and anxious about our future. Dr Sharman said towards the end of the interview, with my emphasis,"For my patients who are newly diagnosed, I find it to be an exquisitely uncommon circumstance that a patient will pass away from their disease. There's almost always some sort of external circumstance, whether it's dementia or social or whatever it is. It is very uncommon. That doesn't mean it doesn't need to be managed. We oftentimes have to do things along the way..."
