If you’ve had Covid four days Bart and the symptoms are reducing more than increasing, it looks very promising.I had Covid over Christmas but it was a relatively mild presentation and I was given Sotrovimab (monoclonal antibody infusion) after 4 days. I’m also still on treatment (Venetoclax).
Quite a number of our CLL members have reported mild symptoms especially with what they believed was the omicron variant.
Hope all goes well. Sounds like you’ve been given a course of anti virals (but perhaps it was medication for the cold symptoms).
Just keep a watch on your temperature and oxygen saturation levels (if you have an oximeter).
Bart4, for me, symptoms slowly improved over 2 weeks, but it took another month for my energy level to get back to normal.I send you best wishes to get better very soon. 🙂Sandra
HiI am also on active treatment ,acalabrutinib daily , was diagnosed stage 4 13 months ago so had Obinatuzamab cycles. Having had alpha , Delta and Omicron the recovery times have varied. Alpha was very mild just headaches and was during my Obinatuzamab cycles. Delta was rough but was given monoclonal on day 10 day. Took about 2 months for the cough to go. Then a month after that I got omicron, was like a cold, no treatment needed, recovered within 7 days. On all 3 infections I stopped acalabrutinib immediately due to Platelet suppression by covid , so to lower risk of a PE. Also I have had all 3 jabs and no antibody response.
I had slight fever, cough, sore throat for about 3 days. I was able to continue to work (I work from home) and felt totally fine after day 7. I've been on Imbruvica for over 6 years. I had both vaccine shots and the booster.
My husband (on ibrutinib for 6 years, no other health issues, received 3 full doses of Pfizer) tested positive Jan 12, had a sore throat for 3 days and a runny nose/stuffy head/dry cough for about 5 days and was completely symptom free after a week, no lingering fatigue or any other symptoms and he’s back to running and cycling (well, he was until we got almost a foot of snow last week). Hope your experience with covid is just as quick and mild!
