Coronavirus vs CLL

Friends,

Been on Imbruvica for two years now and all blood parameters have been normal.

Where do we stand on travel now that a pandemic has been declared?

If all your blood markers are normal, does this mean your immune system is functioning properly?

Many thanks

Do you receive Intragram infusions for your immune system monthly?

We are always considered immune compromised. We have no idea if our bodies will be able to fight off any illness.

During this corona virus crisis, I would stay close to home meaning - could drive back home within few hrs. Suggest no flights. You could get quarantined at a far away location and not able to have enough of your daily meds with you. Can't rely on getting them cuz drug stores could close or deliveries stopped.

When you hear about all the parades, conventions, major sports events, concerts are canceled or postponed, why would anyone consider going on a vacation?

My neighbor just canceled a house party! I live in a warm climate and we could be outside. That is how serious this is. 🙏💕

Hi Obi,

In terms of your blood markers, have you ever had any of your immunoglobulin results?

For the travel I would play safe for a bit, and organise yourself a staycation.

Best wishes,

Ernest

We just canceled a trip to Ireland. Although my husband is on Ibrutinib we were just too nervous about travel bans, Running out of medication, and the major sites been canceled anyway because of too many people. Broke my heart, because we had planned this vacation for almost a year. Everyone has to decide for themselves. My husband’s health is more important then a trip

Have been on Ibrutinib and Venetoclax for over two years and numbers are pretty much normal, but immune system has not improved. It improves for some, but not for all.
