Hello,i dont know much about this disease, but i had some blood work done on 13 feb i went to the er due to bad shoulder pain,im 24 everything was good echo, chest xray but my cbc showed a wbc of 21 but didnt saw the alc or the other wbc types, the doc said is from the inflamation on shoulder and gave me painkillers, but i kept googling and 1 day later i was back to retest the cbc and they were down to 15 but again i didnt see the alc, then one week later i went back and this time my wbc was 11.75 and alc 4.6 38% wich was in the near high normal limit of 4.8 and 40%,platelets were 317 and everything else normal, the doc said its fine i told him my about my worries with leukemia, and he said in his 20 years of working he saw like 3 people and wbc count were over 100000 one had 400000,and i told him about cll and he said that its very rare at this age and my blood work doesnt suggest that, now i found some bood tests from 5 years ago i had because of health anxiety and once i had a wbc of 10 with alc of 5 50%,one month later i had a wbc of 9 with a normal alc of 2.4 and then 2 weeks later a count of wbc 12 with alc 4,my question is if it was cll wich im aware now that is extremely rare under 30 wouldnt it had symptoms in 5 years and much higher wbc and alc that wouldnt go down?also i have no symptoms never had swollen lymph nodes,im just worried and the doctor wich is my personal friend says its nothing and i need to deal with the depression, idk what to do im so worried.

bad inflammation raises lymphocytes. your inflammations going down and your wbc's going down. I see no reason not to agree with this doctor at this time.

I agree. As you have found, CLL is extremely rare at your age - even more so when you were younger. Your slightly elevated WBC counts can be readily explained otherwise and you have a very healthy platelet count.

Googling is not the way to diagnose yourself - trust your doctor friend.

I'm not a doctor but I do not think you have leukaemia.

Lots of things, bugs and viruses, will cause your white cell count and lymph count to go up and down. This is completely normal and as it should be in response to possible infection or inflammation from any cause so no cause for worry.

Perhaps go and talk to someone about your anxiety.

Take care

Jackie

You're welcome but I'm now going to turn off further replies to your post in case people think you do have CLL and give well intentioned but incorrect advice.

Wishing you all the best, take care

Jackie
