BLOOD replace may work?.........................................,...........................................................................

Dear my Brothers & Sisters, I had small doubt in my mind if mistake plz sorry.Iam not Dr.but just i had doubt i.e if our WBC is abnormal is it possible to replace the blood. Is it work Remove the our high WBC blood & replace the healthy blood. Is it work plz reply.

It's your bone marrow that's the problem; not your blood. Even if you had several blood transfusions, your bone marrow would continue to produce more cancerous lymphocytes that would then pass into the blood. The only way to replace bone marrow is with a stem cell transplant and that is a risky option.

What you are talking about is called leukapherisis, where your blood is filtered through a machine and the white blood cells, which are mainly CLL cells, are removed. There are very limited situations where this may be used. Offhand, I can't recall anyone mentioning having it done, but perhaps someone who has had this procedure will reply. Modern drugs like Obinutuzimab and Venetoclax are very good at quickly reducing CLL cell numbers.
