On w&w 4 years now my clinical nurse rang me with my 6 Monthly blood results . My Hemoglobin is 121 the last time I had my bloods taken it was 17. She did say WBC has gone from 18 to 24 ? The rest of my bloods are ok. What I was wondering at what level does the WBC go till I start treatment ?

In the middle of the iWCLL2018 guidelines you will see:
Also, patients with CLL may present with a markedly elevated leukocyte count; however, leukostasis rarely occurs in patients with CLL. Therefore, the absolute lymphocyte count should not be used as the sole indicator for treatment.
Treatment isn’t guided by your WBC levels Pekingese and it’s much more useful to plot your ALC (absolute lymphocyte count) because doctors are monitoring their doubling levels in a 3/6 month period once it goes over 30. A rise of 18 to 24 in your WBC over a 6 month period is tiny and not worth getting concerned about especially as your other blood levels are good. Your haemoglobin level is still very sound too.
Nothing to be concerned about at the moment if you’re overall well.
Thank you so much ☺️ I’m always so anxious when my blood results come back, I forget to ask the question, she did say if any lymph nodes come up to get intouch before my 6 Month bloods. That’s what made me think is my WBC getting high. Thank you again for reassuring me ☺️
Mine reached 225,000 but treatment starts for a combo of labs such as hbg of 10 or 11, night sweats, extreme fatigue, unexplained fevers or weight loss
So hang on for the roller coaster ride, as I think most will agree that the watch and "worry" period goes on.
Fortunately, there are so many wonderful treatments available now!!
