I see that your husband is on Ibrutinib, which does affect platelet effectiveness and which can lead to bruising. How high is his platelet count?
Neil
I was recently taken off Ibrutinib after 2 1/2 years due to developing afib. I had both explained and unexplained bruising (primarily arms/hands) even after my platelets increased to nearly normal levels. My oncologist explained that the quality my platelets is not as good as they normally would be.
I have had fewer bruises since stopping Ibrutinib two months ago but still have some.
Best wishes.
