Happy New Year Everyone My next doc appointment is early February. During check-ups, one of the questions he always asks concerns hearing and any changes. I've not thought much about that, until lately. For the past couple of months, I've been experiencing short episodes of 'fluttering' in my right ear - as though a moth is trying to get out. The episodes are getting a little longer and more frequent. I have about 12 to 20 of them a day. It's not affecting anything I do, but is becoming quite annoying. Two General Practitioners have checked my ear - there's nothing obvious to report - but I'll certainly be keen to see what my CLL doc thinks. Until then, I'd really appreciate knowing if anyone here has, or is experiencing something similar. Thanks so much in advance, Jules

CLL and Ear Problems? - Question
during the period when i was anemic i had pulsatile tinnitis in my ears.
I would have an ENT check you out. Feb is a long time to wait if ur having it happen so many times during the day. Your oncologist may not know. I haven't seen anyone ever mention that on our sites. I have tinnitus since college so mine is not CLL related. But never felt a flutter sensation. 💕
I lost my hearing over a period of 5 weeks and it wasn't until I told my Onc/Hemo Dr about this that he informed me my lymph nodes were so swollen that they blocked my hearing. After a mega dose of prednisone my hearing returned. I was eventually treated for my CLL with FCR and was in remission for 26 months. Now I have AML but my hearing has never been better
I got a rushing sound in my ears when I was anemic. Have you had labs done recently? If so, how is your hemoglobin? Nodes would be the other thing I would ask about. I haven't had that problem, but many have. Let us know what they figure out.
