Hello All: Just a quick question. I have been on imbruvica since 2017. My last cat scan was about 3 months ago. when I got results I was told it was much better then last time. Being on imbruvica will lymph nodes ever go back to normal?
Thank you

I'm not sure that our lymph nodes are ever "normal" again, but they do decrease in size as time passes as long as your body continues to accept the treatment.
also, I've been on Ibrutinib since it was first released in Aug. 2014, one of the first to receive it upon approval for treatment. Since then a great deal has happened and changes have occurred. I am now on a secondary "target" medication as well as the Ibrutinib. However, my Ibrutinib has been decreased to on 140mg every other day. The fluctuations in platelets and such has caused me to hold meds from time to time, but always have to go back on them. I'm actually in a hold status right now (hate these, my anxiety goes through the roof).
My understanding is that they do go back to normal. Mine mostly did but two particularly large arm pit ones can still be felt. My oncologist believes this is the remains of the node structure, and not active nodes. Ibrutinib 3+ years

I have been on imbruvica since June and my lymph nodes have completely gone down. I have had cll for about 20 years and always had one lymph node in my neck that was the size of a quarter but it has been gone for the last 5 months hope this helps
