High lactic acid Low bicarbonate

Greetings from Adelaide

Just wondering if anyone has had this issue and what was done about it. I’m nearly three years on active observation and other bloods are pretty reasonable. I’ve become quite fatigued and headaches

Have an appointment with my haematologist next Tues

These are blood electrolytes that can vary from day to day depending on activity or food.

The bicarbonate is alkaline and the lactic acid is acid. They try to keep each other balanced.

The blood is fastidious in keeping its pH balanced. If you had your blood tested the following day, these electrolytes could well have returned to their normal range.

I wouldn't be too concerned about them.
