Yesterday I began my Richter’s treatment journey: Nivolumab (Opdivo) infusion at Moffitt twice a month for two months with daily 420mg Ibrutinib. The infusion was easy and lasted in total for less than an hour. By the end of day I felt a little queasy, but feel nearly normal today.
I’m relieved to have the approvals for the treatments nearby in Tampa and supervised by my MDA doctors. My experience at Moffitt has been wonderful and lucky to be combining their expertise with MD Anderson.
Off to a strong start!

It has similar outcome as RChop with Ibrutinib, but less toxic and fewer side effects. Since I’m working, that was appealing. My enlarged lymph nodes are already diminished, so exciting to see it working.
Paul, don’t know how I missed your post. I too am going to MD Anderson and recently visited Moffitt because they are local and would be more convenient for future treatments. I was disappointed with the MO I was assigned. Who are your oncologists at MDA and Moffitt?
