Imbruvica and low platelets

I've been on imbruvica about 3 years. When I first started all my counts were low and my platelets were down to 11. Over time everything looked good and platelets got over one hundred. Recently my platelets are beginning to fall and they're down to 62. Could this be the imbruvica causing this and is this a concern?

James, it is quite possible. Has your Dr. noted that possibility? It would be good for you to contact your Dr. and discuss the situation with him/her. It does need to be discussed with your Dr.

Ibrutinib can target (off target TEC) other than BTK (I think this means) so, can make platelets clump, possibly cause bleeding.

I too have had a drop in my platelets and also my neutrophils since my trial on Ibrutinib.
