Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) has experienced a revolution over the past few decades with a marked expansion in therapeutic options and improvement in outcomes.

This success can be attributed to an improved understanding of the molecular and genetic underpinnings of disease pathogenesis and the emergence of a variety of effective, well‐tolerated, targeted therapies.

The field is now continuing to evolve with an improved understanding of prognostic and predictive biomarkers of response, exploration of novel combination strategies with the goal of inducing deeper and more durable remissions, and the development of next‐generation and immune‐based agents.

Here, they review the recent advances in CLL therapy as well as the novel therapeutic innovations that are likely to contribute to the rapidly evolving treatment paradigms in this disease.

Much more and a really good overview of treatments here: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi...

Thanks Jackie.

One question, how many of these are currently available in the U.K.?

Most of them but many are still in phase 2 and 3 trials at the moment.

Am just wondering what my future options will be as I suspect I may have to stop Ib after 2 years (March next year) due to AFib.

I know he will Jackie. We started a conversation when I last saw him in June but wasn't feeling great at the time and didn't ask the right questions. Next appointment is beginning of September so will be prepared 🤞🤣.

Hope you are ok and managing to walk your dog in the heat!

I am going early so avoiding the worst of the heat but I think I have broken a toe and that is causing me a lot of problems with walking, I mean hobbling :(

There's always something wrong it seems :)

Oh no, or as my two year old granddaughter says - ouchie!

Yes, always something. I had terrible pain in my right hand knuckles about three weeks ago. It was so painful. Took about a week to go. Hadn't hurt it so assume it was yet another side effect.

Hope it settles soon.

Thank you. Exciting times for certain. I’m amazed at the advances since I was diagnosed in 2015.
