URGENT UK grated cheese alert

You may have heard about the recent outbreak of Listeria in a UK hospital. This is separate to that but a specific brand of grated cheese sold in several UK supermarkets has been recalled due to the same thing.

Listeria could be fatal to someone who is immune compromised which includes ALL of us so please do not eat any of the following brand of cheese if you have it in your fridge: “Galloway Coloured Medium Grated Cheddar”

I’ve signed up to the alert service in case of future similar issues and you may want do do the same, I believe there are similar alert systems in other countries.

Thank you for the link, incredibly useful, quite shocking the amount of recalls for suspected salmonella and e-coli. Have signed up for the txt alert. I always check food hygiene ratings before I eat out, and have the App for that!

Good idea to have an app for food hygiene ratings. Any particular one? I seem to get stomach problems whenever I go out for a meal so this would be very useful. HazelUK
