I have been taking bgb-3111 for 6 weeks. Before the administration of this drug I had white blood cells 15. I had 114 blood plates. I also had enlarged lymph nodes. Now after 6 weeks I did the same blood vain and I have blood blood 150. As for white blood cells to innocently from 15 to 50 in 6 weeks. The lymph nodes have ceased to be enlarged. I feel good. I am worried about these five-fold increased white blood cells after 6 weeks of using the drug. I have a visit to the doctor in two weeks. Maybe some of you have this case like that?

zanubrutinib is a successor to ibrutininb. so it probably works in same way. Ibrutinib will chase b cells in effect out of lymph nodes and into the bloodstream raising them in the blood stream where they die -the high level will eventually receded
Thanks for the answer
I just started my first dose of Imbruvica today, so am no expert. I had CLL and anemia two years ago and prednisone knocked it out, but it returned in April WBC around 180mm; RBC around 6.1(before starting i"m at about 124 and 8.8).....Hematologist got me on Imbruvica to hopefully knock this out for good. He did indicate that I would besides the dozens of other side effects, I would probably see another spike up in WBC but after a few weeks it will come down again. Weaning me off the prednisone will help all the other swelling and leg heaviness. I friend of mine who has been on Imbruvica for 6 years says he bruises very easily and gets severe leg cramps at night as his major lasting side effects. Just FYI.....good luck y'all
A friend of mine has been on BGB for over 2 years and is doing great. As mentioned above, it is completely normal for your ALC levels to rise at first - it's a good sign that those CLL cells are getting evicted from their comfy lymph node homes. You should expect that your ALC levels will slowly drop down until you're back in the normal range. BGB, like Ibrutinib, works quickly on shrinking nodes but slowly on killing the CLL cells. That's not a problem - just how it works.
