Constant Nasal Congestion

40 days on imbruvica, labs better but continued issues with upper respiratory congestion. Drainage always clear but constant. I was suggested to try flonase and it worked great for 6 days only. Any other advice would be great! Thanks.

Have you taken an antihistamine? that is what will help dry up the running problem. claritin without the D---is a reliable option in antihistimins.

I use both Flonase and Astelin nose sprays. Astelin is an antihistamine and I use that one at bedtime. When I was only using Flonase I would wake up with a lot of thick mucus stuck in the back of my throat and would almost start choking on it. The Astelin took care of that, and the Flonase helped with my sneezing.

I might try a saline nasal rinse if I were you. You can get the kits at most any pharmacy. It can remove allergens, bacteria’s and viruses to naturally ease congestion. A rinse can also help prevent a sinus infection.

I like the relief I get from the medicinal sprays, but they can be addictive and cause irritation after if used too often. Saline sprays are good too, but not quite as cleansing as a rinse.

U can try Salinex or Hydrasense before the Flonase

Flonase is best taken in the morning

Have u seen an ENT Dr.?

Curious as to why you think I should see an ENT. What more would he have to offer?

An ENT doctor can examine you with more precision and ease your mind.

Don't know if you eat much dairy; my gt granny swore by going dairy free for a week or two if you had nasal and respiratory congestion. And it works, No cheese, milk or butter or yoghurt unless they are soy or nut based. It might help if only a little. Apparently the milk "raises the phlegm" Hope it helps
