Hi Serra
I am so sorry for you , I understand the feeling of not wanting to share this with your husband. I had the same feeling, when I first heard I had CLL. My wife wasn’t with me when I found out and when I called her after my appointment, I couldn’t pull it off, it just came out. I wasn’t even sure what exactly CLL was , and so much was up in the air, the MD was going to take more tests that take weeks for giving o prognosis. The one thing I can tell you, it has definitely draw our family closer. I did also tell my 2 adult children. I’m a Christian, so that week, I was at a men’s group bbq, again, I was a private person, but it cane out, I was crying with the men , which was quite embarrassing, and of course I cried with my wife and children .
So my answer to you is I’m not going to be prescriptive and tell you what to do, but more descriptive and tell you how it went for me.
By the way, my wife, who I thought could never handle the news, actually did just fine.
You are in my prayers at this most difficult emotional time!
