Imbruvica part D
If you go to q1medicare.com, you can click on your state to find the Part D companies available to you. Then you can click on various plans and check their formularies to compare them. I checked a couple of days ago, and 2019 prices for Imbruvica aren't yet listed; however, the percent of copay for Tier 5 meds will provide some idea. It even breaks down how much you would pay in each phase until you reach "Catastrophic Stage 4." Of course, with Imbruvica, you do that in the first month. The benefit of being in Stage 4, which we otherwise may never reach, is that the copay for all other meds we take is quite low.
You can keep checking to see when the Imbruvica prices get filled in, hopefully before the open enrollment period ends.
While on the site, I suggest you check the box requesting Medicare newsletters. Each one discusses helpful topics that are timely and informative.
There is a much easier way than what Starsafta suggests, and you can get the 2019 costs today. Go to: medicare.gov/find-a-plan/qu...

And enter your (NEW) Medicare number (the one with Letters instead of your Social Security number- you may need to re-register if you used the system with your SS#).
-
If you are not on Medicare yet, you can enter your Zip code, etc.
-
Then take the time to carefully list all the drugs you take. If you are on Ibrutinib/Imbruvica I suggest listing (90) capsules 140 mg for 30 days, and RETAIL pharmacy .
-
Answer the remaining questions carefully- it may take 10-15 minutes but well worth the time and effort.

The results will show the total annual cost of all the plans for your zip code. You may find multiple plans from several companies like Express Scripts/Medco. They seem to create a new plan each year and tag on names like Value, Saver, etc. I have changed plans 3 times but always to a newer Express Scripts plan that was several hundred $ per year cheaper, but rarely a lower monthly cost.

This does all the calculations, donut holes, Catastrophic, and gives you the final annual total cost.

Thanks, Len. This is easier, though not comforting when I see that my drug cost will be 2.5 X higher in 2019. With more people requesting foundation grants, and less money to spread around, I'm guessing my free ride will soon be over. May have to finally apply to J&J for their low income program. This is not fun. And there are leaks that our wonderful Congress is considering secret cuts to Medicare to make up for their gifts to the corporate rich. Get out and vote!
Be sure to check into assistance programs which often cover the entire copay.
I have blue cross blue shield. 100% is paid for. Starting January 1 I may have a co-pay of $59y

Just checking, you’re referring to the BCBS Medicare part D drug plan? And your ibrutinib is completely covered? We’ve had no copay with our BCBS coverage through husband’s employer, but I thought all the Medicare part D plans had a similar and high out of pocket?
