I don't currently have issues with imbruvica (on 560 mg tablet)) and my tp53 mutation, the dr. gave me famciclovir and told me to take 1500 mg and then three days later again 1500 mg if needed to deal with a virus. Look up that on internet and check with your dr. if that or something similar might help you put down the virus.

Deta, you need to call your CLL Dr. Your immune system is weakened, if you are continually getting infections.

There are medications as suggested by 81ue--

Famciclover, Vacyclovir, for viral infections such as herpes.

The longer it is left untreated, the worse it can get. The medications work best, if begun as soon as you notice you have herpes. Let your Dr. know asap. and insist you get seen, so they can determine dosage you need--or what else may need to be done.

I know you are in Portugal and that you may not have the same named meds. available? But, your urgency is to get in touch with your Dr. to get care as soon as possible.

I hope you can do so, and please let us know how you get along. You are not alone, there are others here who know what your are experiencing.

Best wishes for relief soon.

I agree with the above. When I went on Ibrutinib, my CLL specialist prescribed an anti-viral to keep these kind of infections away. In my case he prescribed Acyclovir. Please speak with your doctor as soon as possible.

Husband is on ibrutinib, and Acyclovir has been very helpful in keeping the infections under control....also on SMZ/TMP DS 160 MG.....he was chronically getting mouth sores, and infections and this has helped a lot. Sorry to hear you are so uncomfortable.
