I’ve been taking norco for shoulder, back pain and most recently enlarged lymph nodes. I also take tenezapam for sleep. Does anyone have similar issues and if so what do you take. I’ll be talking big with onc tomorrow or Tuesday. Thanks

What do they give you for swollen lymph nodes. Is the pain from enlarged lymph nodes ? Thanks John

Hey John. The pain meds are for busted shoulders, bulging discs and arthritis. I take norco 10/325. I don’t like how it makes me feel. But it does the job but isn’t very good for sleep. Regards, Randy

I’m in the same boat with the shoulders I need ones replaced and the other is 80% rotary cuff tear. I just get injections every few months for pain , not much help with the pain. You mentioned you lymph nodes are swollen is it from the meds , or are going to take something to reduce the swelling ? Thank John

I had terrible sleep problems from CLL - prior to treatment had terrible pain from swollen lymph nodes in neck but TylenolPM or AdvilPM helped a bit. After starting treatment wirh ibrutinib and obinutuzumab, lymph nodes cleared right up but then bone abd joint pain and leg cramping kept me up nights (common side effects). With doctor's help I developed a cocktail of Ambien, TylenolPM, melatonin and CBD oil that would get me through the night, but with groggy mornings. As my symptoms and side effects lessen, I'm able to cut back on those sleep aids to a half an Ambien and no CBD and am feeling much better in the morning. If I wake up with bad pain the CBD puts me back to sleep.

I find watching Scandal on Netflix puts me right to sleep... I rarely get to see more than 10 minutes. 😜

Thanks everyone. I appreciate your thoughts and comments. Waiting for dr to call. I’m drawing the conclusion that I need to give ibrutinib another couple of weeks. Yesterday was an absolutely horrible day but today is better.

I guess it’s just a roller coaster till you get use to the med

Yes, it can be. But from my experience it gets better and it's worth it. I'll take ibrutinib's side effects over my pre-treatment symptoms any day!
