Fish test for 13q
Surprisingly, it's the loss of this chromosome arm (13q del) that provides the most favourable outcome with CLL: cll-nhl.com/2012/07/13q-wha...
This has always been confusing to me. How much (just relatiely) does a 13q deletion matter? I have tried to read up on this and it bring all sorts of other things into the picture such as IgVh mutatioal status and which class of heavy chain your malignant b-cell clone contains.
Anything that sorts all this info out? Or am I just missing something basic? Thanks.
I can recommend Jeff Sharman's blog articles. Easy to read, yet he goes into considerable technical depth: healthunlocked.com/search/s...
CLL Research News Blog. Scientific information. How many 13q deleted cells there are, may be important in disease progression.

Hi Neil
I found this from searching for information. There is also a reply from Chris Cllcanada about 13q. It showed that 13q can in some instances be aggressive if unmutated!!.
I was wondering if you or Chris could repost for me .
I have limited use of phone only, having just moved and cannot find the reply.
Hope you are well
Sue
I am 13q deleted and un-mutated. I went from normal to 110 WBC and 68 ALC in 10 months, so my CLL is very aggressive.
