Nose bleed

3d day on Imbruvica. Have a little nosebleed a while ago. I've been to the gym. Does exertion contribute to bleeding?

There was an initial period on imbruvica of bloody nose mucus in the morning and I was afraid to blow my nose initially. I thought it was low platelets because as the platelets got a little better it stopped.

Hi Warriordad

I’ve been on IB nearly 11 months. Experienced darkened booger with bloody streaks and nosebleed once few months ago. The issue resolved after installing a powerful humidifier. Hope it was just one time episode for you.

Hi Warriordad…

There is something in Imbruvica that causes bleeding. That's why your specialty pharmacy probably told you not to take any aspirin or anything with aspirin in it. I had a nose bleed this morning that was unbelievable, but was my fault. Regarding the exercise, I'm now back exercising trying to do five days a week on the treadmill. I also use another piece of equipment for my arms. I don't find that is causes nose bleeds. Maybe just a quirk for you, but if it happens repeatedly, I would contact my doctor. My best to you. Thank you. The nosebleed might have been a quirk. I'm 7 days into IB and if this keeps up, I will consider it a miracle drug.
