Neutrophils level

Hi guys my husbands FCR treatment has be postponed the past three week due to him neutrophils levels being low any recommendations as docs saying will come up naturally

Yes they will. But everyone is different in response. Nothing you can do other than to try and avoid any source of infection.

Hi, you don’t say how low they are. If they’re below 1.0 for some time your docs could be considering growth factor injections. I’m about to fly to Australia for a holiday and I’ve just learned how to inject myself with G-CSF. I got down to 0.5!

I had GCSF injections when mine were 0.2 and it brought them up quickly. It’s no big deal. It’s in the tummy and you hardly feel it. Bruno may not just be low enough for them to consider the jabs, but worth asking?

last month (day 14 of FCR 3) I had neutrophils below 0.1. I got very weak and eventually bacteria started to party.

I was in the hospital for 20 days and the last 8 day they gave me GCSF (one small injection per day). They did the trick but I guess I got too much of them as my final count was 24! three days later I had a normal 8, and 4 days after that I started FCR4. Keep your fingers crossed and stay in contact with the hospital. Bad news: your husband cannot do much to improve; GOOD news: the doctors and some time will improve it!!

It will be OK!
