Hi Kimsaylor and welcome.
Lower back pain can have so many reasons that it’s impossible to say really but I do experience it from a swollen spleen. However I also have arthritis and spinal stenosis so it’s hard to say. Enlarged nodes can impact on nerves but it would need some diagnostic work with scans to ascertain the reason. Best to discuss this with her doctor.
Best wishes,

Hi, I wonder if your mother has had a bone density scan recently? Also, she may want to consider having a vitamin D test just to see what her levels are like and whether she needs to have a supplement. Hopefully she can manage to be comfortable, and that she is able to stay active
It might be a good idea to get input from an orthopedic specialist. Also, have her have her kidney values checked. Lower back pain is common, period. Finding the cause can take persistence, but is important. It could be spleen related, caused by enlarged nodes pressing on something, or CLL infiltrating organs, but it could be many other things as well.
