Here I am again with yet more questions As I was recently diagnosed with CLL and still have not done the FISH (scheduled in 2 months) I was wondering what are the vaccinations that are recommendable and when is the right time to proceed. I read about the pneumonia shots and the shingles injection, but what about the seasonal flew shots or anything else that is recommended? Also anything that I should be aware of in terms of vaccination and medicaments that I should be avoiding?

Many thanks, I indeed need to learn to use the info already shared better. Sorry for repeating already discussed issues.
The post Neil recommended is very comprehensive. If you are in the US you can check the CDC list of recommended vaccines to get or avoid if you need a reference for your doctor. In the U.K., The Green Book? Someone will correct me if that's not the right name. There is a new shingles vaccine that may be right for us. It seems that a few doctors are pushing their patients to get it right away, but many want to see more study results before recommending it.
Here is an easy to read/follow list of vaccines (in the USA) you should get - as soon as you PCP doc or local pharmacy can give them.
