I have just tried to renew my holiday insurance with World First. I've used them for several years last time in October for a trip to New York. This time they couldn't do it as the computer said cover was not available. My condition hasn't changed, stage A with no problems. Has anyone else had cover recently - I know this firm is used by several others or do you know of another provider.
Many thanks
Issy

I’m sorry to hear World First won’t cover you this time and it’s concerning because I’m due to renew my travel insurance with them. It’s difficult to understand too.
Here’s a list of alternative insurers on this post who may be able to help. Good luck and it would help others if you come back and tell us which company had been able to help.
Thanks for the info. In the end I went with Avanti whose on-line application is very easy although their premiums are a lot more. However in you are in the UK and a member of the Women's Institute you can get a 20% discount!
I had no problems getting insurance with them for a trip last November/December but my CLL is of hte indolent variety with my WBC and ALC in the 30s after almost 9 years. I am about to try and get another quote from them for a trip next month.
Hi, Issy. I have very recently discovered World First and after the online and subsequent phone call from them, they were happy to cover mer and my wife for a single holiday this coming April - a 12 day Saga cruise to Spain and Portugal.
Their verbal questioning was lengthy and they questioned my ongoing chemotherapy (Venetoclax) which I had to tell them all about. They confirmed their online quote of £224 which was ridiculously cheaper than other quotes I got (£1500 to £2100 !!).
I am surprised that they will not quote you this time. Might it be because of comorbilities ? Fortunately that wasn't a problem for me.
I am 78, diagnosed 2014, FCR stopped, Ibrutinib stopped after 21 months, now finding Venetoclax fantastic since September 2017. Feeling really well, and blood counts all in normal range.
