Has anyone else have this as the secondary to their CLL? If so how did they treat it. Thanks

Biopsy back. Squamous cell carcinoma in neck/head
Hi Huzzy
Unfortunately skin cancer is one of the secondary cancers to CLL. My hubby had BCC on his nose and ear and after further tests they also found a ‘melanoma in situ’ on the back of his thigh.
All the above was removed at our Dermatology Dept, Churchill, no further treatment was needed for the ‘melanoma in situ’ , but it took 7 tissue biopsies on his ear before it finally back came clear. This was in 2017, and he was discharged from dermatology in January this year, with the assurance that if he was concerned about anything to give the clinic a ring.
Hope this helps to reassure you that you are not the only one who this has happened to. Take care of yourself.

I had a squamous cell carcinoma removed from my arm the same week I was diagnosed with CLL. Just keep an eye on any changes. Just another exciting side effect of CLL😬
Since my cll diagnosis, I have had 5 squamous cell skin cancers on my neck, head and legs. 4 week treatment with 5Fu cream was unsuccessful for me. Depending upon the location, they have now been removed with Mohs surgery or excision. Mohs on the top of my head would have left an open lesion for several months and a bald spot. A plastic surgeon was called to close the Mohs site and "repair" the bald spot. Worked out pretty well all things considered. Wish you the best. Be diligent with regular full body exams.
I had a Bowen’s cell carcinoma removed from my face in the summer - it had been there for over a year, but it took a while to convince my GP...
Hi I have had all three types. They have all been successfully treated by excision and none has metastasized. Is yours able to be removed?
Dx 2007 and I am still on w&w. Jan. 2016 doc removed melanoma situ on my leg. Jan. 20018 just removed squamous cell carcinoma on my arm. Will be seen again to check to see if doc got all of it. The first time I was really upset about having another cancer. But this time I know as long as I an proactive on my visits to the doc skin cancer can be taken care of.
Mine was removed using a laser. I had one treatment. It felt like burned skin for a few days, but not too bad. Good luck!
My husband (with CLL) has had 5 of the basal cell type removed over the last several years and one squamous cell removed by mohs a couple weeks ago. This week we got the call that the biopsy of another spot (in his ear) is invasive squamous cell.
This is very frightening to me😢 i have a dermatologist appt aug 7th and terrified. this disease has really changed who i was... I'm afraid of everything😢
Yes. I just learned after great results from acalabrutinib and great blood work I have squamous cells in my only enlarged left cervical neck lymph node. CT scan showed everything else from head to abdomen normal.
I have for a PET scan scehduled at MD Anderson Monday and then consult 4 weeks later. Ugh.
Anyone else with head and neck cancer and cll...
This looks bleak and unlike CLL not much advances.
