Nodes in neck.

I believe I have had CLL for at least 6 years, but diagnosed 3 years ago. I have always had small nodes in the neck; sometimes they bigger and other times there small. Can these be removed at some point?

Surgery isn't a standard treatment option in CLL/SLL, although I have known patients who have had nodes removed, also tonsils are a node, so they are often surgically removed.

In CLL if you have a few visible nodes enlarged, chances are that other nodes in the body are also enlarged, however they are often hidden

That is why it is important to be under the care of a hemaetologist, who will palpate the nodes at your appointments, to get an overall picture of node involvement.

Thanks Chris ... I do meet regularly with my hematologist. My blood numbers in general have remained fairly steady.
