Welcome hope you continue on the CLL train with us.
Welcome Pinafi and glad you’ve found us following your CLL diagnosis. It sounds like very early stage for you and long may that continue. The WBC (white blood count) isn’t always a useful indicator so plot your ALC (absolute lymphocyte count) as a more reliable indicator of disease progression. Avoid using the percentages too, absolute levels are more useful. Here’s a link explaining blood results that may help you;

Post with any questions or advice you may need. It’s a tough time just following diagnosis and fellow CLL’ers on here understand.
Best wishes,
Newdawn
Welcome. I too was recently diagnosed 26 Sept 17, with a Lymphocyte count of around 20, so I am early stage just like you. It's scary when you're first diagnosed, but knowledge is power so learn all you can then go about living your life. If you're in the US there is the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society which is a great resource. They put on free conferences and events for us special people. Luckily there is one in NYC on Nov 4, it has a section dedicated to CLL. You can register prior to the event or at the site the day of it. I've also use this site as a source of other experiences and see the progress the medical field is making battling Blood Cancers in general and it makes me confident that I will live to a ripe old age. My Dad lost a battle against NHL when he experienced a Richters transformation 10 years ago that had it been today I am sure he would have won that battle. Stay strong and positive, the future is so bright we have to wear shades.
