I’m still on watch & wait. Had immuno- globulin infusion week before last. Flu & pneumonia jab on Thursday - slight fever Friday night had gone by morning to be replaced by painful large swelling of lymph under armpit - Im assuming its to do with vaccinations..?

Swelling
Which pneumonia vaccine was it? there are two in CLL.
My specialist said to spread pneumonia and flu shot a month apart... no point in overloading a broken immune system.
If your nodes are swelling go see your doctor... you can't assume

I will do that in future thankyou @Cllcanada. I am not sure which pneumonia jab - I was given, my doctor is in Wales - I had expected a double shot - one spread over a three month period, but it was just a single vaccine
Pneumovax23 is usually given every five years, for CLL patients however we do better and make more antibodies to the child's vaccine Prevnar13.
So, ask if you have had this one time vaccine.
Pneumonia is the leading cause of death in CLL, and you need to be certain you have the best protection available and don't leave it to the vagaries of the NHS.
