CLL Doctor in FL

I was just diagnosed with CLL last year. I am 43 now. Does anyone know of a doctor who specializes in CLL in Florida?

I'm in central Florida. Orlando is the closest major city to me. But I would go wherever to find a doctor who specializes in CLL. I appreciate any information you can share.

Also Dr Khan at the Mayo in Jacksonville. He’s awesome too and fairly close. I don’t know your insurance situation.

I could not agree more. The research doctors at Mayo are the best in the world in my opinion. They accept my Medicare.

I agree. He is my doctor too. I travel from Fort Lauderdale twice a year to see him.

Both the CLL Society and the LLS have lists with proinent, tested CLL hematologists. Plenty o them in your state, but since I am not amiliar where Dale is, cannot help you any more.

I have never seen a printed LLS list, though I have often called about referrals for others. The CLLsociety.org list includes links to the ACOR list and Dr. Sharman's list. His is somewhat dated - some doctors have moved. The other two are patient recommended lists.
