All those on Imbruvica - I am being treated for cll. I have been on Imbruvica for 7 months. My question - Has anyone experienced a viral type (symptoms) sore throat and ear ache on just one side. Been two weeks now. Thank you,999lme

Two weeks... have you contacted your treating doctor...? If not do it tomorrow, he may want to assess the problem, run cultures.. see what you are dealing with. Might be viral, might be bacterial might be fungal.

Hi999LME

I've been on Ibrutinib for 2 and a quarter years, going onto Venetoclax tomorrow because of Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation and bouts of diahhrea, both of which I have now grown accustomed to. I found that my my persistent right side ear ache problem was solved by using an earplug whilst showering.

I agree with Clicinada, best to get it checked out.

Yes, I know exactly what you are talking about. I am on Ibrutinib x 7 months, only one pill every 3 days. Was very sick with sinus/ear problem - lost hearing - mostly back now - several visits to ENT MD - had antibiotics and Prednisolone without much effect. Had horrific cough that lasted for about 3 weeks. Key for me is to keep sinuses open with Dymista nasal spray and Flonase. Keep nasal passages open, ENT SAID blow nose by holding nose, breathe in and blow - helps clear ears. I even had left ear drum punctured - MD did not see much blood inside ear which was unexpected. Please refer to Dr. Michael Keaton's video on the subject of sinus infections. Neil posted the web site just last week. I do believe it is an Ibrutinib side effect. Keep working on it - you will get better. Cheers, Carole in the U.S.

Yes. My left ear felt clogged for a week before it turned into community/walking pneumonia. I have coughed for more than two weeks now and a seven day levaquin dose is clearing it now.
