On the 6th of May, I spent the day cleaning up my nicely wooded back yard after a long winter. I came in after a successful day of making my yard look awesome in pain. At 56 and after doing that type of work for about 9 hours, who wouldn't hurt a bit.
It's now the 20th of May, I feel like I just completed an Iron Man Event. Mainly in the knees, but also every joint in my body except fingers and toes. As of yesterday the pain seems to have also migrated to my collar bone, shin bones, thigh bones.
I try to get out and walk; stairs and mild (very mild) inclines are killers. Ankles look like balloons by the end of the day, but go back to normal over night.
I originally, as you probably guessed, wrote this off as normal -your too old to do that much yard work at once type pain. Anyone out there have any ideas. Could this be CLL related?

This joint pain sounds to be a bit of an extreme response to the yard work you did especially after all this time especially as the pain is generalised. I take it you don't have arthritis and this is a fairly new phenomenon? This systemic inflammation coupled with what you describe as odema in your ankles would have me to the doc's if I'm honest.
It could be CLL related and you've mentioned swollen nodes in previous posts. I'm not sure when your next check up is due but it's worth consulting your doctor about these issues. I have systemic arthritis and sympathise and am aware that symptoms are getting worse as my levels increase.
Thank you very much for taking the time out of your day to respond. I will contact my oncologist and seek his advise.
I tend to try to push through, wait, self heal, but 14 days of pain from one day of yard work really started to concern me, especially since its getting worse.
Hello. I feel for you. I too experienced what they term as "muscular/skeletal" pain. It is in their manual. My forearms and shins hurt so bad (at night when not doing nothing). All I could do was moan and groan and cry. Of course they don't want you to take anything like Tylenol and I just suffered for about 2 weeks. And the Doctors and nurses will not say it is a side affect for some reason. It did eventually go away. Good luck
Thank you for taking the time to reply. Being in that situation, I can honestly say that I'm sorry to hear that you had to go through it too. Be well, be strong.
I did too much sewing one weekend at a quilt retreat. That was over 3 weeks ago and my right hip joint is still irritated. Went to chiropractor as I had been having spine, left hip and pelvic issues. The adjustment really did not help the right hip thing,. Planning to call my GP this week as he is a sports medicine person and my offer some suggestions to rehab my hip. Let me know if you find any "quick" solutions to your joint pain. I know cutting out added sugars helps me a lot with that. I think both my CLL and Hashimoto's disease cause joint pain. Good luck with getting relief. I feel your pain!!
