For the Oxfordshire ladies and gents, does anyone know why you live in Oxford BUT have to go to Banbury for the Pre-Op and then back again for the 'Follow-Up' appt.
The op is being done at the Churchill so I do not understand why both these appts can't be done at the Churchill.

They are all part of the same NHS Trust - so being charitable, it might be just where spare spaces in the queue are on the timescales you need. On the other hand, it might be because the admin system does not compute where you live....(are you in Oxford?)....on the other hand, if you live near Banbury, they are being super-efficient/caring, as they are scheduling things close to where you live for your convenience.......
My mother (who lives north of Banbury) was coming for regular consultation to Oxford (Churchill) has just managed to convince them to swish to the Horton - no idea why it was not there in the first place... only reason I can thing of is the admin function never read where she lived.....
We ended up at the JR for my husbands pre op assessment Susie even though the Churchill has there own pre op assessment unit. We were told it was because of where the first available appointment in the system was. It made no sense to us as we were and still are going to The Churchill 3 times a week!
