Does Imbruvica affect Hgb much? Mine has dropped to barely above 10 in 2 months of Imbruvica treatment (although I've also had colds & sinus infections). Does such a big drop (from 12-13)seem common? Any ideas if it might come back when I resume Imbruvica treatment (I've stopped temporarily to fight sinus infections)?

Why did you stop Imbruvica ? did your doc. recommended it ? my husband had a bad sinus infection first month after starting imbruvica and he just added an antibiotic but did not stop ibrutinib
I would definitely discuss this with your doctor, as bleeding can be an issue with imbruvica. You don't want to find out that there is an internal bleed going on somewhere!
Sinus infections are not uncommon in cll, or when taking inbrutinib. I have had several courses of doxycycline over the past 18 months whilst taking Ibrutinib- my haemoglobin levels are within normal parameters. Does the doc think something else may be going on? Hope you get to the bottom of it soon - and you can recommence your therapy.
My doctor told me Ibrutinib can lower Hmg. I've been on it 7 months and mine continues to slowly improve but is still on the low side in the 10 range. My platelates are now normal. Infections can be common - curious why you went off the drug?
For info, my CLL MD told me to stop taking Imbrutinib because she thought it might interfere with recovery of sinus infection. Only off for 1 week, now, & I see her again on Monday.
