I have now had 4 cycles of FCR and although my hair is thinning a lot (fortunately I had very thick hair to start with) , I haven't actually lost it. However, I have very painful patches on my scalp & wondered if anyone has any remedies for this.

Painful scalp during chemo
My hair thinned during FCR and then stopped two months after the last cycle. I did not have patches on my scalp but an allergy to Septrin in cycle 2 made my scalp feel tight and sore. This was stopped and the scalp felt normal.
I did through FCR treatment wash my hair less often. Dried it naturally and as I colour my hair only use foils to keep any strong potion off the scalp. Gentle shampoo is a must.
My scalp was really really itchy on FCR, it interfered with my sleep and was apparently caused by Rituxumab. It sounds like you could do with something quite soothing and moisturising, maybe an oil? and then leave it on overnight, wrap your head up in a scarf to protect your bedding. I have eczema and use a body wash and lotion called Aveeno and they do a moisturising oil (available in Boots) Its made from oats and as a lifelong sufferer its been the most effective product I've ever used. Try to avoid chemicals in shampoos (I use Herbal Essences Clearly naked - no silicone, colourants or parabens) and not too much hairspray for now.
Hope that helps (my brain is still a bit mushy from cycle 6 last week) Wishing you all the best, you're nearly there!
